Every year, Lady Pengwing invites citizens from all across Windlyn to her home, Pengwing Mansion, for an extravagant party during the summer solstice. At this event, päikesepaiste cookies are served; the rarest pastry in all of Windlyn. The cookies take a lot of time and skill to prepare, and must be carefully attended to throughout the entire process. One little mistake: too much flour, overmixed a second too long, a fraction of a degree off in the oven... they're ruined. If they are baked correctly, they are rumored to be "so radiant they actually cause the solstice".

This year, the päikesepaiste cookies have gone missing just before their unveiling. The suspects with unconfirmed alibis are five of the Pengwings who were at Pengwing Mansion for the gala. All of them have a motive; Päikesepaiste cookies are rarely created perfectly and are quite expensive, and all pengwings love sweets...
