Item Design Contest!

Hey Winners,

How would you like the chance to design an item for Windlyn Online?
How about specifically the first item of 2015?
We’ve seen, in the forums, some of you have had an interest in designing items for Windlyn Online

Now's your chance to design a new years exclusive!

Prizes:

The item you designed will be added into the Windlyn item database for the new year, so you and everyone else can buy! It will be available for two weeks in the shops.

If you like, you can choose the name of the item. (if it is inappropriate, we will have you rework it.)

If your piece is selected, you will receive one (of each colour?) (+ one for a friend or other hoarding purposes) of your item, completely free. There are three possible prize tiers, with one winner each:

Tier 1: 500 feathers, item will be released on the first of January
Tier 2: 250 feathers, item will be released on the second of January
If more than 10 members participate, a third tier will be enabled.

Tier 3: 100 feathers, item will be released on the third of January

When?
Entries will be accepted from now (Dec 17) until near the end of Novalia (Dec 28) at 5:00 PST!

What do?
I made a nifty little template for you guys to work off of: found here. (http://windlynonline.com/cgi-bin/img/blank.png)
Save it to your computer, open in your favourite paint program, and draw away! If you plan on drawing items behind the base, you’ll either need to draw around the base or use a program that supports layers. For a free program, I suggest Gimp, Paint.net, or Fire Alpaca. C:

Draw your item(s) and post them to a sharing site (such as imgur.com). Then link them in a PM to me with the following format:

Rules and regulations:

Draw your item with the base (it’s a png so you can also draw on a layer behind it!)
Your entry will not be accepted if you resize the image or your item goes outside blank part of the image (transparent background, under the header)

If you wish, you can tile the image to show different colour combinations or the like, but the item may not be bigger/a different ratio than 500x1000px.


You may add colour variation suggestions along with your submission by boxes, dots, different images, or anything you can think of.
Only one item per base, please! It helps make it more clear for us!
Somewhere by the "Item By" text, write or type your username.
You may submit more than one entry, but only one of your designs can win a place in the shop

Note: You will not be judged on your drawing ability, or how close you can get it to my style. This is an item design contest. We want to see your ideas!

At first I was confused. They're cute, yeah, but why a bear? Then I read the description. Somebody knows I like puns. "The Beary Happy New Ears" will be available starting the first of January!

Second Place: Maro

This item embodies features and the ambiance of Windlyn! The wings on the side are a really nice touch~ This crown will be available starting the second of January!

Third Place: Oby

New years means fancy dress, parties, and all sorts of fun! What a better way to do your hair than a big, fluffy bun? This hairstyle will be available starting January Third!

How about... If you print it out and draw something, and can take a high quality picture or scan, I'll accept it.

It's more about not changing the ratio, though the images are huuuuuge so I don't know if you really will want to change size anyways.
