My Pixelling Progress (Feedback Always Welcome)

Postby Red » Mon Jun 05, 2017 12:09 am

I'm pretty new to pixelling still, and I'm terribad at palettes, but I'm trying ok. I definitely need plenty of tips on what to do and where to improve with this. Most of what I will start posting will be from my Mario hacks I'm working on, but after a while I'll start posting what I have done for my game when I do get that far into it.

Second post is reserved for progression purposes that I can look back at later.

Known, a drop, unknown an ocean.
We, mankind, strangers in our own world.

Notes: Only the foreground and clouds were made by me. The Koopa, coins, munchers, and question block are originals to Super Mario World.

Those look fine! The color palette is fine. It's all very Nintendo-ish. Perhaps Nintendo colors are perhaps more hyper-saturated (brighter? Could be just my monitor), but you're in the same family of colors.

Are these from your game? Looks like fun! :)

Thank you! I'm not using any of these for my game, however they're for a co-op version of Super Mario World I'm working on, and I only have a few things done so far for it. I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing for my game quite yet, graphically.

Oooo, co-op SMB! That's certainly something it was missing. Waiting for the other player to finish had a downside to it. ;)

Mhm. While the patch for it is far from complete and with a good bit of bugs, it's doable with custom levels and such.
