No program? No worries! There are plenty of free graphics programs including Gimp, Paint.net, Microsft Paint, and FireAlpaca. You can always print out the base template and draw traditionally on it.
Absolutely! Just make sure you scan your finished piece, or take a high quality photograph that clearly shows your work!
For item design contests, you will not be judged on your artistic abilities, or how close you can get your application to Windlyn’s style. So as long as it's your idea and your friend is okay with it, we are too.
We ask that you post images for contests, and try your best to draw your application. You are always welcome to write a description of your piece alongside your work. Please make sure you don't include your username or any naughty words!
If you’re just looking to get your ideas “out there”, you can always post your ideas in the item suggestion forum!
Before your art is shown in the submissions list for an art contest for all of Windlyn to see, it goes through a quick quality check-- Does your entry show your piece clearly? Do you follow Windlyn’s ToS in your design? Is this a new design (not a recolour of one you just submitted)? You will see the `pending` label below your submission to indicate your entry was received.
