Re: Last Post Wins!

The last time I checked, Undergrin was owned by Jojo, and it was already being worked on. I think I remember some information on the coder, too. I also plan on making a site, but not an avatar site, and not a public site. I'm using it to build my PHP skills, and I'll be doing the art on my own or wi...

Re: lolhay.

It's... very much against Syn's rules. I've reread them. Even if it wasn't, it'd still be rude. Anyways, some people joining is fine. Ask friends to join. But traffic can be an issue. Windlyn is hosted on a personal server. There is no hosting service that will let the admins upgrade easily in case ...

Re: lolhay.

I've recognized every name I've seen from Syn. I am an expert lurker. I'm kind of worried because advertising for other sites is against Syn's rules? I wonder why someone didn't just create a discussion thread, because the staff there is pretty lax about discussions on other sites (definitely seen E...

Re: Hey.

Oh, I see. I was a little worried because I was assuming that the animation aspect wouldn't be handled with APNGs and was going to be done in Flash/HTML5 with various body parts being compiled and rotated in real-time. I wish you luck with that. I haven't seen many avatar sites that implement animat...

Re: Hey.

Having worked on animation before, I seriously urge you to scale down the images should you choose to animate them. Large images may look nice for stills but they will put unnecessary strain on the system if they are animated. Avatar sites are already resource intensive and you do not need to make t...

Hey.

I'm Alecto, and I like making things. You may know me from other avatar sites, but I don't frequent them.
Someone linked me this site and I decided to take a look.
The avatars seem interesting? I'm not sure why the images are so large. Are they going to be high-resolution, CG avatars?
