New pm notification, but no new pms

The wWindlyn Post office has informed me that I have five new private messages, but when I go to look,I do not see any new private messages. I do not have anyone blocked or black listed, and I have it so users may be able to send me messages.

Is your inbox full? You have to delete some and then "release" the ones on hold sometimes!!

There is a link in the message text that says your box is full. Click that.

I remembered my inbox being full was not the problem because I was still getting private messages in my inbox while the notification says I had five new pms.

I guess I'm not understanding your issue. Which notification are you referring to that is showing you have PM's?

The one that says "x New PM."

Boris: mark and then delete the existing messages.

Once you do it will free up space but in order for them to populate you have to click on the line that says something about: to release new messages on hold, click here". The words only show up if you have PM on hold.
It will be a small paragraph above your message board that shows you have too many.

I had so many messages and ended up clearing room then going out and coming back to release the hold. (like refreshing the page but I actually clicked out and came back).

You can also change your settings to automatically delete the oldest PMs if your inbox is full here.
