I always been a germophobe myself, but I've done OK so far in my life without all of the extra extras and don't see the need for them now (of course before we knew what we know about COVID it was different situation). The basic remove yourself from anyone coughing or sneezing and/or who say they're feeling funky, don't get too close to strangers (a good all-around habit anyway), and as lemon said don't touch your face unless you've washed your hands first seems to cover most of it for me. Everyone is different of course and if your job requires you to see sick people and such I would imagine changes the equation.
