I am so sad to hear holidays give you anxiety, I hope this one will be better. We are here for you, Arc!

Novalia has started in Windlyn so don't forget to collect your stamp & get your item for today.

Thank you. <3 I hope so, too. ._.

I'm kind of nervous for the event, tbh. Idk why. I think I worry that I won't be able to participate much. @-@

Arc, You are checking in everyday anyway so just mark it like the rest of the threads you go to.

<I know what you meant though, I have to check a couple times a day just to make sure I didn't miss it!>

Arc, are you able to spend any of Christmas with family at all?

Yeah, I'm visiting home with my sister until tomorrow. We came down last night and helped our great-grandma make cookies until a little after midnight. @-@

Merry Christmas everyone!

I was anticipating the Novalia event to be like the Halloween event, so I was a bit nervous at the thought of making time to be online amongst the holidays. xD;

So glad to hear you are with family! What a moment to treasure making cookies with your great grandma & sister! Did you ice or decorate them as well? Gingerbread? cut out sugar cookies?

Novalia is lower key event so that people can spend time with family during the holiday but still be blessed with new items.

Merry Christmas! Safe travels!

I appreciate the easiness of the event. =w=

My great-grandma taught me how to make homemade icing, which we put on the tea cake cookies. I also made butterball cookies, and my sister made chocolate chip and hot chocolate/ white chocolate chip cookies. Lots of variety, but no gingerbread cookies. I don't think we've ever had them on Christmas. o-o

Sounds like you have been having a wonderful time, Arc, moments to treasure!

I prefer the really crisp ginger cookies to gingerbread men. Your cookie variety sounds delicious! Is the home made icing made with milk or water? Royal icing or butter?

Crisp ginger cookies are really nice with milk. :3 Did you make any cookies, Lemon?

We used a can of evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and vanilla flavoring to make the icing.

Oh yes the yummy icing!

I just made a couple types... gluten free cookies with almond flour & shortbread cookies. They basically are the same recipe, just using almond flour instead of white flour. But slightly different consistency. I add cinnamon to the almond flour cookies... next time I think I might add it to the shortbread.

Those sound sooooo gooooooddddd. *w* I'd love to try the gluten-free cookies! I had a gluten-free snicker doodle a few months ago and it tasted yummy.

Costco has the least expensive almond flour so I just try regular recipes & substitute it for the wheat flour.
