Sad to say, someone I met had a daughter who has that condition where you eat mud, paper etc & liked the scent of the scratch n sniff popsicle stamps & the daughter ate them.

Unfortunately they probably didn't taste like clay or Popsicles... on the bright side most people can benefit from a little extra fiber!

"Pica is a compulsive eating disorder in which people eat nonfood items. Dirt, clay, and flaking paint are the most common items eaten. Less common items include glue, hair, cigarette ashes, and feces."

I'm not sure if it was this particular condition but this is one. I think she was lacking something in her body.

Cigarette ashes and feces.... o-o

These cravings remind me of the show My Strange Addiction. Off the top of my head, there are episodes of people who like to eat mattress cushions, nail polish, concrete, and cat hair. Idk if these were real people who dealt with pica or scripted actors for the sake of ratings, but it was interesting to see the different cravings each episode.

Kinda makes me think of the people who like Lucky Charms cereal... oh yes, I did go there! :)

I was thinking about how terrible that cereal was again and I seemed to recall that I'd try to let the "charms" sit in the milk a while to see if they'd soften up. Nope. The outside would just get slimey while preserving the deep chalky texture inside!

I also seem to recall the deformed Cheerio part of the cereal was remarkably dense and flavorless. I never thought about it before, but I think Lucky Charms tops my list of worst cereals I've ever had.

It's really sad it's marketed to kids... yuck!

Hahahaha, this is funny. xD You're right, the marshmallows only get slimy and still manage to have that chalky consistency somehow. I'd take the flavorless cereal bits over the marshmallows any day.

I wonder if the actual marshmallow versions are any good? o-o
