Hopefully you can be home soon!

When I went to the lab to get my blood drawn the lady checking me in was telling me her life history & showing me pictures from her phone of her plants. Good thing I like flowers!

Now I realize why my boss tells me less talking to the customers! haha

My schedule got changed yesterday so I ended up being off work today.

Hahaha nice, I bet it was a nice conversation! It's a good thing you two had a similar interest, as well! I bet she enjoys talking with the patients who come in. :3

And nice, a spontaneous off day! xD Did you enjoy your day off?

I got quite a few things done today so it was a good day.

Did yours go better? Are you able to relax now you are at home?

Good, that's always a plus! Hopefully getting things done yesterday will free up some more time for you on your next off day. :)

No, unfortunately I wasn't able to relax at all. I felt too anxious and on edge.

oh no!
I find, when you have to deal with a lot of people at work, it is difficult to shut the day off when getting home, especially when I lay down to sleep.
Are you able to do yoga, or swim or something to help get rid of the frustration?

I hope today is a better day for you.

Today hasn't been much better, unfortunately. :/ I might even skip my class tonight to stay home and collect myself. My anxiety's been so bad today that I've broken some pencils to try calming down. Thankfully that helped a little, but I can't be at my desk breaking pencils all day. xD''

The swimming pool at my apartment complex is closed until next year and I don't know of any public pools around me. I need some type of release, though. I really want to try boxing someday. Maybe I could look into a beginner's class soon?

That's not a bad idea ... or even a self defense class to start.

A squeeze ball is a stress reliever ( over breaking pencils). Get a cute anime one or those ones where the eyes bulge out when you squeeze them to make you laugh.

Some foods can help with anxiety: "Research suggests dark chocolate is beneficial in lowering anxiety symptoms. · This effect may result from dark chocolate's high flavanol content"

Stay away from caffeine & high sugar when you have anxiety... a little bit of dark chocolate is ok!

The self-defense class and the bulgey-eyed squeeze ball are good ideas! I would love to have a squeeze ball like that at my desk. xD

And it's good to know that dark chocolate can help with anxiety! I'll have to buy some and keep it handy for whenever another anxiety attack occurs. Thank you. :3

Deep breathing & stretches can also help... we try it all, somethings work better then others ... of course dealing with what ever is causing the stress should eliminate it but when it has to do with things that you feel out of your control ( like decisions by management) then that is difficult to do.

Hope today is a better day for you.

A lot of my anxiety stems from things I can't control, so that makes it hard to deal with at times. :/ I've been trying to inquire about getting medication, but I need to have a referral sent over and my therapist hasn't been responding to me lately. Aw well... I'm sure it'll figure itself out.

Today I feel so tired and mentally numb.

I hope you've been having a nice day! :3

I'm so sorry you're dealing with anxiety. It can be completely debilitating, but it sounds like you're not past that line (at least most of the time). In my struggles (everyone has anxiety to some degree) what I've found really helpful figuring out life is a group that go by the name THE SCHOOL OF LIFE. They have a many many videos that thoughtfully go through various topics in understandable simplified ways that no others have even come close to topping.

Here is one titled The One Question We Need to Ask Ourselves When We Feel Anxious
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Gc6_S6i0k

I don't mean to lessen your situation, so please don't this take it that way. I only know you online and while I do not doubt who your present yourself as (we all know real life can be very different!). In my experience meds have their place, but they should not be used in place of when re-framing thoughts/thinking could literally change everything (the goal of therapy).

I hope this helps and you always have our support!

Thanks! :3 I've seen videos from this channel before. I don't remember the ones I've seen, but I think they related to anxiety and to attachment.

My therapist has taught me how to re-frame my thoughts for the past 2 years, but so far this year it hasn't been helping much (especially in recent months). I inquired about medication to help for the moment until we resume our session sometime in December. We've been on a hiatus since April.

Well, at least you get paid for being at work?
On my slow days I clean as we don't have a janitor or I tidy up files etc.
Can you read a book if there is no tasks for you?
Can you ask for more work be assigned to you?
Do you get along ok with your coworkers? Are you allowed to talk & get to know each other better of is talking discouraged?

I find slower days seem longer to get through.

I hope an unexpected happy happens to brighten your day!
