I usually have bad headaches, but over the past 2 years or so I've been getting migraines once or twice every few months. D'; The worst one I had was last year.

The class is going well. Only two more weeks left. I'm thinking about signing up for the next class which will cover muscular anatomy, but idk yet. @-@

That sounds cool! My artistic "vision" is such that I have a much easier time with understanding/dissecting 2D models (picture or photo) to re-create/capture than 3d (real world) models. I think I just get lost in all of the extra details. And if the subject is alive, movement overwhelms my attempts!

I am impressed by talented folks who can do it!

That's totally understandable because 3D figures have so much detail that can be easily overlooked or hard to replicate in real-time. As still as the figure models are in class, if they accidentally move then I have to change things to make my drawing more accurate, which can get a little frustrating after spending so much time on something. D';

Hahaha, maybe you'd do better with performance art or anything that involves movement? :3

The more I think about it, drawing live (as opposed to 2D) requires me to put my mind into photo mode of sorts--take a mental picture and go with that while using the live subject for details my "psycho photo" is missing. LOL

That's not a bad technique since it requires you to draw from memory. It even seems like good practice to draw from a mental photo and then review the actual figure to check the accuracy. :3

Also, that article was interesting. For some reason when I read “His status was that of a craftsman, and unsurprisingly he found human material for dissection hard to come by…" I couldn't help but giggle as I asked myself "how would he even acquire a human body in the first place?" xD I'm curious to see the other Renaissance artists' depictions of the Vitruvian Man. I bet they look interesting to say the least. xD

Good question! How *did* he get so many bodies?? I can envision a reimagining... Maybe he was serial killer master artist! lol

haha... I think in that time period they paid for carts taking out the bodies to swing by his place on their way out of town.
I think even in today's science classes they have to dissect dead bodies...animal or human. <I managed to be sick those days>

Probably a lot more dead bodies around back then too. It was dangerous way back then. It was a struggle to just stay alive!
