well, it's summer over here...wonder if the next items will be hot weather related?

Canada has Dominion day and the US has Independence day...but don't know of any international holidays over the summer other then labor day in September

Isn't the July 1st celebration called dominion day? When Canada became a dominion -something like 1867? Doesn't Australia have something like that to celebrate it's Independence? Help me out here with history....

It's not called dominion day its called Canada day. Dominion day would be awkward for a name because thats a chain of grocery stores up here xD

Maro - you are right, Dominion day was changed to Canada day in 1982 and I have no idea why I didn't remember that, I think it's because my Mum still calls it dominion day and I haven't lived in Canada for awhile
