Would it be possible to have a page like "New Posts", but that, instead of listing every thread that has a new reply, only lists threads that are new? Like, created after I last visited. That would be super helpful!

If you click a forum category, you can sort by the number of replies a thread has and see the newest threads with the least number of replies. Unread threads have a different icon. :)

So I would have to click every single one of the 26 forums every time I wanna check for new threads? That's not really much faster than reading through two pages of threads with recent posts. D:

If you click one of the five dark purple categories off the index page, you can see what forums have unread threads based off the forum icons. You probably want to post under a certain topic anyways, not just any new topic.

You can also view active topics, unanswered topics, new posts, in addition to your unread posts. All of those links are accessible from the homepage.

Hope this helps!

I know about all of those, but none lets me quickly view all threads that were newly created.

What I'm currently doing is going through all topics that show up in the Unread Posts and try to determine whether any title sounds unfamiliar and then marking all of them as read, repeat. I just thought maybe there could be a faster way for this. I don't really care about all those gaming threads having new posts. I just want to know what's new.

But I guess I can continue reading the Unread Posts page. :strain:

Isn't that what subscriptions do if you subscribe to a forum/forums?

You can subscribe to a forum? I thought you can only subscribe to threads. :O

Share your wisdom, galled!

It looks like the forum subscription feature is turned off. (I thought it was on. Sorry...) It was turned off for a reason, but I don't know why.

Well, I know there's work being done on database retrieval (backend stuff!), so it might be causing a problem with that. Chicken or egg kind of thing I bet! There are so many things to juggle when developing a site that is actively running.

You guys have been doing a lot of upgrades and stuff. Did you stumble upon any way of viewing or being notified of newly created threads?
