Deleting Our Own Threads?

Deleting Our Own Threads?

Postby MonkeyGirl18 » Tue Jan 10, 2017 4:47 pm

I kinda think we should be able to delete our own threads, even after people have commented them and no matter how old the thread is.

Like, in the yard sale forum, I had created a new shop, the one I'm currently using, because my original didn't have enough reserved posts at the beginning to fit everything I wanted, I had actually met the max character amount allowed and I wasn't even close to being done with adding all of the items I had.

But now it just sits there, collecting dust, and if we could delete our own threads, it would help us keep the number of dead threads from littering the site, lol.

It's just a thought, though...

The preferred solution is to have a mod lock your thread. Deleting threads is problematic on many levels. Which thread are you referring to? I can lock it for you.

It's fine. I didn't realize that it would be problematic or anything.

If the thread is new (a single post) deleting is possible, but once you an old thread or a very old one with multiple posts, then it's not so easy as you probably understand. Well, if you change your mind and want it locked, just PM me or one of the mods. Thanks!
