by This forum is for Site Feedback, the place for your comments, questions, concerns, observations, and ideas! It encompasses three kinds of threads:
- Feature Requests -- suggest new features or ideas.
- Suggestions -- a sub-division of Feature Requests. Feature Requests are requests that add new functionality, but suggestions are primarily not code or function related.
- Site Feedback-- let us know how we are doing!
If your feedback is along the lines of “You should fix this bug...”, we can get to it faster if you post it in the Bug Report forum instead of Site Feedback.
Feature Requests
- You have a feature request? That’s great! We’d love to hear your idea!
Before posting your request, you can really help us out by checking if a thread already exists for it and commenting in that thread to show your support! If you find a thread that’s sort-of like your idea, but not quite, even more the reason to leave a comment! Help define what that feature will be. If you find a feature is pretty much what you’re looking for, but are just dying to have a certain aspect, let us know by commenting.
- If you’re starting a new thread, keep in mind:
- If you are suggesting a feature, please give as much detail as possible. The more we have to go off of, the more we can discuss it!
- For your title, use “[FR]” or “[Feature Request]”, followed by a short, descriptive title that defines your feature at a glance. Adding the bracketed prefix before your title will help us keep track of what is a suggested feature when we’re looking to re-fill our todo-list.
- If you want to draw up mockups, or examples, please do! It really helps us see what you have in mind.
- Do not submit joke requests. If you’re serious when you suggest something, we’ll be serious when considering it. Deal?
- Do not expect a time frame for your feature. We can discuss and define your idea with you and the rest of the community.
Please be patient with us and keep in mind: we can’t add every feature ever suggested. Our team is very small and we will often need to fix more pressing issues or finish things already on our list before getting to your feature.
Suggestions
- If you have a request for something not function related, you can post it here! This encompasses things like new forums, items you want to see, etc. Like with function related feature requests, please look to see if your suggestion has a thread dedicated to it already and show your support in a comment on that thread! Note: We have had frequent requests for items or new threads, so the suggestions thus far have been combined into threads dedicated to those topics. Please post your suggestion in the corresponding thread, not in a new post.
- When posting a new suggestion, please try to:
- Use a “[Suggestion]” prefix followed by a descriptive phrase as your post subject/title.
- Be descriptive on what you want to see in your post’s body. If you have examples, please share them!

- Please keep in mind when posting:
- Feedback should be on existing features, function, and execution.
- Criticism is intended to be helpful and is no excuse to be rude. We are open to any constructive criticism. We actually encourage you to let us know what you think, how we're doing, and anything we may be able to do to make Windlyn a better community!
- Do not use this or any forum to insult any staff, their work, or art.
Do not attack staff or members of Windlyn, harassment will not be tolerated.
