Looked pretty similar in the sense of being an avatar
based forum community.

So how active is this site?
Is it worth sticking around?

A bit about myself:
I'm a 30 year old artist living in Florida. I'm currently
on a nostalgia kick and just want some new friends
and a new online hang out that might actually
benefit me in the long run.

What kind of art do you do? Do you have a favourite colour? Any shows or movies you like?

We are a smaller community, especially compared to Gaia's +20k userbase, but the people here are nice and there will always be someone to talk with, just maybe at different hours. We have some longstanding active members and some others who pop in from time to time, but activity picks up the most during events.

Our community is active at different times throughout the day due to time zone differences and real life stuff. No where near anything like Gaia, but I like the quality over quantity trade off of people. Posting does pickup during events, but traffic is prettry constant (checking forums, dm's, fishing, games, etc..)

What kind of art do you do? Is this for work or fun, perhaps both?

We have a community of people with varying interests so you are sure to find someone who shares similar interests as you do but may not be on often, Windlyn becomes a respite or check in point for those who are busy in real life or aon more active accounts.

Please visit the game thread links and charity in my signature for a chance to earn extra feathers or past items. The signature appears on the Member's first post of a page only.

Play games daily for a chance to earn feathers, 3 per day per game. If you beat my doughnut score I will give you a rare item or 1K feathers, you just have to make it on top of the leader board.

Fishing is every 8 hours and has backgrounds and the only blue Ursus bear in it. If you hatch your first pet let me know and I will congratulate you with an immortality potion.

When items appear in the Lazarus shop purchase them as they may not appear again or may only appear in an event.

Thank you all for the responses and explanations. Activity being a bit everywhere makes a lot of sense.

I mostly do perler bead art, I like to call it physical pixel art because of how it looks. I'm working on getting my business up and going so I can work my first convention.
My favorite color is green, bright neon green.
Mostly into anime, I also like most disney and marvel stuff.

As for what art I do, look above. I also have gotten into painting because of the perler stuff and like putting them on canvas with nice backgrounds. It's mostly for work but that's just due to not having a lot of space to keep what I make.

Ooh, I used to do perler beads. I wish I knew there were mini beads when I started. They're so much more compact haha! Making stuff with the regular sized beads can get to big to know what to do with. Neat you do a mixed media thing with them. Would love to see your work sometime!

I'm playing in a Marvel tabletop campaign soon, but know almost nothing about Marvel. I think I've only seen the Spiderman movies and maybe the Fantastic 4? Who's your favourite hero/villain?

I've gotten really attached to Hawkeye and Bruce
Banner over the years. I've got some new attachment
to Moon Knight and Miles Morales also.

Perler bead art is really fun! Well, for me to admire (never made any). Yep, it's like 8-bit 3-d art that bring smiles universally!

Nah, it's okay. You get feathers through posting and it allows other people to join in the convo too.

Questing is every 12 hours, once you build up a supply of fishing items you should be able to fulfill the Sister's quest. You can do both Sisters and if you don't have the items they ask for then just cancel it and try again later.

Perler beads are cool but when you are doing a larger project you have to be careful with the iron !

make coaster sets with boxes though.

Hawkeye is part of the Avengers, Moon Knight is a superhero that has
Dissociative Identity Disorder and is contracted to the egyptian god
Khonshu. They just gave Moon Knight a show (mini series?) on disney+

Gingerale - I was wondering about how to go about the quests.
though they did remind me of neopets a little (god I'm old )
I've done some pretty large pieces, right now my largest I've made is about
1.5 feet by 2 feet.

Oh sorry for the confusion. I think perler bead creations are 3-D because you can hold them and enjoy them from any angle.

I think I saw a trailer for a Moon Knight movie or show, but I don't know anything about it.

Yup, just like Neopets. But unlike Neopets' quests, I've actually been able to fulfill some of these!

There are 3d perler works too which are put together like puzzle pieces. I just saw these Animal Crossing ones. Soo cute!

galled - The one's in (-o-)'s post were what I was thinking of when you mentioned 3d. The boxes I mentioned that I make are put together like puzzle pieces more or less, the one's in their post are 'slabs' or rings that are glued together layer by layer.
