Hello, My Name Is...

Postby Vivianne » Sat Oct 05, 2019 2:05 pm

Hi! I’m Vivianne! I love jokes and puns and cute animals. I’m not-so-secretly a nerd.

My current favorite one-liner is “I love eating my family and not using commas.”

I’m super excited to be here. C:

We're excited to have you hear as well and so happy you started a little welcome hangout to give us a chance to get to know you better!

Looks like you have figured out star pond fishing is every 8 hours, the pond has 7 different back grounds in it and some other rare items.

Did you figure out there are more shops then what display on the drop down menu? And if you are looking for threads to post in go to the forums page and look at the different topics.

I love desserts...What's your favorite dessert?

Hi to you both! I’m always excited to meet friendly new people.

I did figure out there are more shops! I’ll be a bit slow branching out across the forums - I’m terribly shy.

I love sweetened cooked fruit! I have a restricted diet for medical reasons, but I’ve found that I can still eat tiny tidbits of cooked apples or pineapples or the like if the liquid is dabbed away. It’s amazing.

What’s your favorite dessert?

Hi again.

I love puns and animals too. I found a webcomic recently called Cat Loaf Adventures. The animals are all different types of bakery and dessert foods. It's really punny. :p

I’m going to look that up! It sounds great.

I started reading A Budgie’s Life a while back abs really need to catch up. Webcomics are fun.

It's on Web Toons like A Budgie's Life is.

Do you read any other webcomics?

A friend got me into Adventures of God, and I binged it in four days in April and have avidly followed it since.

I also like Carl. And not webtoons, but Nancy and xkcd deserve a mention.

What other webcomics do you read?

I've not read xkcd in years! I'll have to revisit that one.

At the moment I read Lore Olympus - a retelling of the Greek mythology of Persephone and Hades. It's set in the modern era and the art is stunning.

Miss Abbott and The Doctor, Saphie the One Eyed Cat, Ghost Teller are other ones I read on Webtoons.

Catana Comics are really cute - it's a non-Webtoon one.

I’ll check all of those out...eventually. After Victober is over, I think!

I almost forgot I downloaded a free copy of the complete works of Jane Austen to my kindle, so I’m starting with that!

Edit: oh wait, she died before the Victorian era. I need to read her anyway, though...

I hope you love Austen. She is one of my favourite authors. Yep, she's a Regency writer. I think she died before Victoria was even born. Still give her a read though. :)

I do like her - I’m currently reading Sense and Sensibility.

I like reading, but the rest of my family don’t read much, so I’m afraid I have acquired their indifference towards literature. I should make an effort to change that.

Contrary to my avatar name, lemon cheesecake is not my favorite dessert, I like it but can't do the cream cheese a whole lot or I get severe cramping and nausea...but I do enjoy a flavorful lemon cake with lemon curd and whipped cream layers and add some raspberry or strawberry sauce to it and yum!

However, my go to is ice cream, especially if it is soft and silky.

Are you on a soft food diet, Vivianne?

I have not looked into webcomics but it sounds like you all really enjoy them.

Her first published novel. Out of her books I would say Emma is my favourite.

My family is the same. I'm the oddball out of them because I've been a book worm since I was really young. The fact that you like readings already shows your making an effort to change that inherited indifference.

Who would have thought that Lemon Cheesecake isn't your favourite.

Oh, that cake sounds amazing!

I am on a complicated diet. The simplest way to explain it is “softish chunky foods, thickened water only.” I can’t have anything too soft, anything that melts, or anything that crumbs.

Webcomics are a lot of fun. Even the isolated strips you run into on places like tumblr are great.

MissAutumn - in middle school, I would literally read a short novel a day, because school was easy and I was an office worker in the library.
