@Lemon Cheesecake: My hobbies include baking, cooking, drawing, writing and reading. @gallad: I like to draw anime characters. And no, I did not see what was worn at the Grammys.
I like to bake, but it is so time consuming... I think it took me 5 hours today to make cookies, banana bread & scones I like to be creative & change up the recipe's sometimes and not everyone is a fan of that...although sometimes it works out Do you like to get creative, wing it or are you good at following the recipes?
No I do not design or sew my own clothes. I sometimes like to bake cookies and brownies although I went to baking classes a few years back and I baked things like eclairs, bread, caramel slices and more. Sometimes I follow the recipes like during baking but most of the time mainly during cooking which I mainly do over baking - I wing it.
Cool! Perhaps if you feel comfortable, you'll share some of work with us.
There were a couple of outfits that I liked (actually more than the last few years). There were of course the outragous ones--but I'm not one for extremes and "new" tends to be more "miss" than "hit" with me.
@gallad: I might share some of my art in the future. @Gingerale: Cooking classes and baking classes were extremely stressful but it could also be fun and I was proud of how the result turned out. I wanted to be a chef before but then realised because of how slow I was cooking/baking and the reality of how the food industry was - quick and stressful - I decided not to pursue it.
I think it would be stressful to have to work as a chef or cook in a restaurant, I give them a lot of credit, so many orders being thrown at them... timing everything has to be an art in itself. I enjoy cooking for friends & family ...especially when I get to try out new recipes.
I know someone who draws pictures for children's books. I think that would be so cool (except I don't have that talent).
I also like drawing - I used to draw a lot of traditional art but I really wanted to learn how to do digital art since a long time ago but I completely failed in that area until recently when I actually started learning how to draw properly and learn about different things in Procreate like layers that I finally started to make progress. I also love writing and have written poetry and some short stories.
I love hearing that you persevered & over came the obstacles & are seeing progress.
There are ways people can self publish now, have you tried to draw & write to publish your own poetry or short story books? I know a couple people who have done that. One of them sells their books at local vendors.
Wonderful! I bet that makes a great gift too because you can sign the book that you gift out.
Maybe one day you will share some poetry with us. Our Windlyn community member Npixelx, sometimes blesses us with a poem. He used to write a little poem for any new comers. I think Galled has a poem of Npixelz's in his avatar signature.
