eat healthy the next few days. Are they putting you under to get the wisdom teeth out? Don't be swishing your mouth after, follow the instructions & you should do fine. Not everyone swells up a lot. Are you going to have an implant to replace the tooth with the cavity?

I had mine out one at a time but generally better to just get it done and over with.
They don't want you doing sucking motions (like with a straw) because they don't want you to suck the blood clot out and end up with a painful dry socket. Follow the instructions and you should be fine. But boost your system right now with some vit. C etc to get your immunity up & promote quicker healing. The bone takes about 6 months to fill in so sometimes the area may be a little sensitive to extreme temperature, (really cold or hot), if it is then just stick to more tepid temps when that happens.

Do you have someone to help you out after the surgery? Get LOTS of sleep the first day, 3rd day you might feel it the most...take your ibuprophen (it is for pain and anti inflammatory) regular for the first few days.
Clean your teeth good before you go in for surgery so your mouth starts off in a healthy place.

Sorry to hear about the dental stuff. Two of my wisdom teeth came out with no pain at all during and after. Another had to be dug/cut out. The procedure was the worst part (mostly smell an tugging), but very little pain afterwards. Take heart in knowing whatever discomfort you have will become less and less ever day.

Best wishes and speedy recovery!

Mine were full bone impaction! The bone had to be drilled and the teeth split into quarters/halves to be removed...I didn't have much space in the back of my mouth! I did mine with local anesthetic and did not get put out.
