Probably because it's the last free Saturday of good weather for the year! (Halloween sucks the air out of any other event that weekend. And the weather usually takes a turn for the worst starting in November.)

oh, you mean there are so many Halloween events the week end before Halloween?

Halloween falls on a Friday this year ... makes it more fun to celebrate because no worrying about getting up early the next day for school or work.

Cost of candy though is outrageous.

I live far away from a main road.. So I never got many trick or treaters...

I got to hand out some candy to some kids at the Ren Faire..
I was helping one of my Vendor Friends..

Personally, it was too many kids in my opinion xD !! I did Not like it when There was 4 or more at a time sticking their hands in the basket, I was holding.. And then there was one that took 3 so fast, I couldn't even react.. But I will help again, next year.. If needed though..
