Are the two notebooks the same in terms of paper? That's valid! Are you reading books or another type of media?

LOL I am definitely that person who'd sleep through, especially because of timezones haha
did you get to attend?

It is the same notebook HAHA
Modern problems require modern solutions

I didn't. College graduations just feel impersonal to me for some reason. It's the after parties I waited for! But dang, the new grads couldnt have that

Thanks!!! If I remember correctly it's the avocado pits that can produce reddish dye? I think I saw that in a "lifehack" vid from way back, tho I've never tried

Haha knowing me i'd never be able to finish it... so many pages :strain:

That's true! You basically sit around and watch people get handed a piece of paper for the entire ceremony. The afterparty is where all the socialising happens. Definitely feelsbadman :/ This year's cohort of highschool graduates didn't get a prom or grad trip either which sucks because I bet they were looking forward to that so much!

!! Prom and field trips didn't even cross my mind omg. The student experience this year is just plain terrible. Postponing academics for a year keeps sounding better and better, but there are probably more nuances there than I can notice atm.

That's why combo journal-scrapbook works so well it's twice the amount of content in one notebook, so I feel more productive HAHAHA

Yea :/// They lost out on an experience that most graduates at my school get (although the best part about prom was the food haha)
Postponing academics would be nice but a lot of my friends just wanna get out of university yknow? So they can start finding jobs and the like~ I think they made my highschool curriculum easier because of COVID and cancelled the exam components which was about 50% of their grade.

Haha xD I never have enough photos to scrapbook so my journal is one of those scrapbook/collage types too! I used to use a leuchtturm but switched over to the midori last week because the leuchhtturm is really expensive here and the paper can't even hold up fountain pen ink which made me very sad :worry:

Holy shit. I swear I've replied, looks like it got eaten.

That's a very valid reason to push on through acads!!
There was a time when I couldn't afford a consistent internet connect, and relied mostly on school wifi and the more expensive mobile data, so I'm a bit more symphathetic to those calling for an academic freeze ^^;; I would have been forced to drop out and be held back a year if the pandemic happened a few years ago.
I swear, that has to be a better system or solution out there, so that students wouldn't have to be forced to choose like this huhu

I just use the same notebook brand and paper as the one I used for college notes in my journal-scrapbook ahaha. It's named... 'Campus Acryl'...?? I just like it because the notebook has this spine that can be opened up and lets me rearrange the pages.
Those high-quality brands tend to be out of budget huhu
Ooh fountain pens!! I've been meaning to switch to them, just right before everything shutdown due to the pandemic. They seem more economic in the long run, and much much prettier hahahah.
What color of ink do you prefer when you write :O?

Bit late to the party, but welcome to Windlyn! Glad to know that the site's spreading its outreach and more and more people are hearing about it!

Ohh yes, campus acryl! I liked the snap-on rings too, great for easy access to take the loose leaf paper in and out of the notebook (rather than savagely tearing it (always did feel bad about having to tear the pages out of my notebooks)). They're kinda like the Kokuyo Campus Smart Ring Binders -- ugh, love shopping for stationary and notebooks.

Thank you! The avis here have a very pretty aesthetic, reminds me a lot of JRPG concept arts! And it has a more fleshed out forums haha

Yes!! Being able to rearrange the leaves was godsent. I wanted to keep my notes in a certain order by subject, but some subjects are taken in the same year, so it got difficult to organize and guesstimate how much paper was needed. Campus ACryl was easier and more convenient than rethreading pages from spiral-bound notebooks.
HAHAHAHA I'm more careful with notebook pages - if it isn't spiral bound, I would very carefully get rid of the stapler binding first, then rebind them.
