Chobi did. It was funny in a self-deprecating way. I'm impressed that you can belt out that much so quickly! :)

I meant to reply to this, lost track of it. Search to the rescue!

Thanks for posting it. Yes, I can see the infinite flow (very cool program actually -- reminds me of some of the screen savers when they were still popular/necessary).

I think the universe is infinite -- meaning there is no end. No borders, no boundaries. It just keeps on going and going. (Mind blown!) And therefore no center either. If there is no center, there was no big bang and the inconsistencies between big bang theory and what we've observed are no longer problems! In physics, the simplest answer is usually the right one. :)

Well, for all intents and purposes, it's infinite as far as humans are concerned because we can't even see the the ends of what's visible or detectable let alone travel out there to see otherwise. I hope we might be able to one day, but for myself, it actually gives me a sense of well-being (perhaps calm is a better word) knowing that more things are possible than our minds are able to comprehend. :L_Wing: :cheer: :R_Wing:

It's an equation that simulates the flow of fluid and accounts for forces of gravity, temperature, viscosity, etc.. Fluid dynamics have been dominated by Bernoulli's equations since the beginning of the field, but there's always been problems between the math and real world. So these newer equations fill in some more of the real world variables--which is why the computer simulation looks so natural/organic. But as with all modeling, there are so many variables that we can get closer, but it's doubtful we'll ever ultimately get it completely. Then again, we may get it close enough to be very useful. :)

It's the foundations of chaos theory and it's what I call the mighty butterfly. Chaos theory is part of the mathematics where people try to decipher and calculate how a large systems full of elements would interact with each other and predict the outcome. This is where the Butterfly effect comes from. It's the idea that seemingly small action can trigger a chain of following actions and end up with a huge effects in other parts of the system.

The chaos theory and those type of modulations can examine large systems, so if we zoom out to the biggest of systems (the endless universe) I can imagine a lot of interesting things happening. Like how all energy changing form but moving on, matter being shredded but information being kept and everything moving on into another reality or stuff ~ just imagining things at this point

By the way the original Atlantis or at least the myths for the city tell that it was not an under water city but it was a bay city build into a few circles with bridges where there would be water in between the circles so that ships can go in, and there would be buildings on the circles of land. Also an amazing temple at the center. Also people believe that it's location was either somewhere along the west European shores of the Atlantic Ocean or in between Europe and North America. There are a lot of variations that you can find about people imagining what it looked like based on the description but the historically accurate ones would be close to this Image

It is believed that the city sank underwater or was flooded, but the people moved out of there and went to other places where they build small replicas of their temple. Maybe they merged with populations from other regions.

What I find intriguing is how so many cultures have similar stories about ancient times. Floods and great advanced cities are a couple of very common ones. I realize that in the grand scheme of things we are more alike than not and are all probably related way way back in the beginning, so these stories must be at least partially true and based on events that did occur.

It is very likely that these things occurred and the oldest of sources (that we can find so far) for all those stories - the Sumerian tablets, depict a lot of details. We are talking about over one million stone or clay tablets that contain historical record and administrative activities (trade, law and order etc.)

People still have not given up on finding the lost cities of Earth's ancient pat. It's just that it's really expensive and hard to scan deep under the surface of the earth or the surface of the ocean floor for possible remains and then excavate them.

I think we should develop and refine our technology so that we can map what is on Earth first before we try to look at what is on other planets. If we can develop something with precision that is light weight it would give us an advantage for flying it in space but also assist us as to the history of our planet.

Mmm... it's not like you sacrifice one for the other necessarily? Some people have their own specialities. Someone studying vacuums would benefit more from studying space than trying to do archeology. There are so many fields.

Mmmm, well lets face it. It's commonly accepted that humans came out of monkeys and human history is much shorter than it really is. People have hard time believing it and hard time getting to invest into the research of the "Primitive" ancient past. After all, it's the stone age right?

But it's the stone tablets that kept so much info fur us through 4000 years with no issue where paper and papyrus fail often.

Well, there are a lot of things we can learn from earth itself. Most of our science is concentrated on the Earth itself after all.

Mhm... I just think that people can explore space if they want to... we've still got plenty of people... researching the earth... It's not like researching space means research on earth slows.
