As someone who visited forests often that upsets me I suppose.

Edit; I would collect feathers and little trinkets to make runes and such, also teas from the lavender I would find.

This far north it's pine trees mostly and fire is a part of their life cycle as pinecones carry their seeds and don't release them until they light on fire

Oh I see, I was thinking bush fires like the horrific ones we get around here.

Controlled fires are fine,

Oh, the ones you see in the news aren't controlled, it's just inevitable to happen because of how a pine trees life cycle runs

We've had "controlled burns" around here. The last one became "uncontrolled."

Kinda makes your wonder how wise those in charge are...
