maybe I was using them wrong? They feel like they rip my skin and leave a red patch. do you think I might be allergic to them then?

Mmmm... yup~? I think so? May also depend on the mask and its purpose. Bentonite clay masks are apparently pretty good at drawing impurities out of the skin?

I see these women that get chemical peels and their faces look like it was in a fire- quite scary looking - I'm always afraid if I was to do something like that my face would never recover

Mmm... if I were to do a chemical peel, I'd go with one that isn't so strong.... There are chemical peels for sensitive skin and all, maybe that'd be the thing to do.

I might buy the Shea moisture black mud mask for problematic skin. All their mud mask I heard mostly have good reviews. :)
