Yep. But the thing is,research on Earth doesn't mean proper research into ancient cities, culture and technology. People still have hard time understanding that there was electricity in ancient times. We have found interesting batteries made out of sealed clay pots.

There is a lot of things that are not researched properly because they are "unacceptable" for society in majority of scientific circles.

In science as well as in religion, there are hard core believers and they would refuse to believe something other then their own "GOD" or favorite dead scientist...

if we can make electricity from a potato or even from urine - I am sure that ancient civilizations probably thought up similar ideas. In fact, what little historical documents have survived have shown that our "modern" technology was thought of - even if just in the baby stages...

I just read that remnants of a native american "city" have been found where they estimate that 20,000 people lived in it - for over 300 years!! There aren't that many places on earth that can say a city survives for that many years, so obviously they were managing somehow.They still need to excavate it to see how they lived.
