For avatars you need to buy stuff from the shop. The shop tab is up there next to the Community tab.

Yeah, right now you have to buy your base (in the shop with the logo s&s). I eventually want to set it up where your email confirmation gives you a create-an-avatar page or something where new users get a base and face+shirt+hair+pants to start them off, y'know? I just gotta find the time.

You might need to go to your avatar and put the stuff you want on. It is on the left at the bottom under your feathers and notifications.

I just saw someone mention it somewhere else and remembered that I had an account hah
So I was generally interested in how the site progressed since I was last here there was little to do ^^;

Ah! hah that's so odd, I clicked that icon before and it didn't exactly show up as it did now
maybe I didn't click it properly

That would definitely be nice, but I don't think it's that bad at the moment
maybe a newbie guide for lost like me? ^^;
