I've acquired wings from Windlyn events. I've also traded for wings.

yep, I believe mdom and Vlad have traded wings for feathers (250?)
Depending on what items you want I sometimes do a raffle and I do offer a free potion for the first pet you hatch ( check out my charity thread in my signature).
Keep posting and playing games and you will get those feather currency built up enough to buy the wing currency before you know it!
