Beta?

I see that the site is in beta based off of the banner. How long has the beta been going? What plans are there for the step out of beta?
I'm new to the site, sorry if this is the wrong area to ask this

Welcome to Windlyn!

We entered Beta two years ago. (Has it been that long??!) Our plan is to go live in stages (private release first, etc..). Diana's got loads more features scheduled to add and corresponding bugs to squash! There is no definite timetable as to when we'll be ready, but we plan on expanding staff to help make that happen sooner.

Keep in mind that Windlyn was started as and has always been a side project of sorts for Diana, so there's really never been any rush as events have taken priority.
