Delete a topic/thread?

How do I delete a thread? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

you can edit and then delete a post, not sure on a thread.
Maybe just edit the title (from the first post) and change the name or type "closed" in the header/title. Once the thread gets old it may disappear?
