I've noticed this a couple of times already, but thought I'd mention in case your unaware.

When I try to ping a username with a space in the name it will only ping the first word and yus making the ping useless.
Like so:


I don't know of any work around it so it's a bit of an issue when your trying to let someone know that you've replied.

Pinging only works if there's a space before the "@" symbol.
Conventionally, you should use quotes around the whole username. You can still get the attention of a user with a one word name if you don't use quotes, but for two + names, you need to enclose them in quotes.
