Is there any place, specific to an event, where we can make topics? Like an event forum section?

I can make a forum, I guess. I am not too sure what you would use it for though. Can you explain it to me more?

i think vlad wants a spot for people to post current event specific things like their own contests maybe freebie art stuff n hangouts n such.

Yea, what Maro said. Usually sites have a spot where people can make event-hangouts and stuff.
It's no biggie though

I'm still not really sure the purpose of the category. Why use that over the already existing event/giveaway categories?

they are generally popular but also only open for the time during the event they are about. i think most sites use them to not have too many event themed threads spread out all over the place thus increasing topics and posts and limiting clutter a bit.. eheh

This site isn't very big and there's 2 threads over it which seems enough. I personally don't see a use, at least not yet.

honestly i do agree, it'd be nice just isn't needed until this place grows a bit more [although i've seen sites smaller/less active than here do it before too.] i was just trying to help explain what their purpose generally entails n such.

Hrm... Does this mean I have to close the threads when the event is over?
I feel like we really don't have issues with too many topics or having clutter as is, so I don't think we quite need to break out more categories yet.

Thanks for helping explain. I want to understand what it is so I can either make it properly or point you in the direction of an existing forum category that does what you want.
