Well, it's more humid than it is in winter, but usually it just gets to where you feel like you could cut the air just before a thunderstorm like we had on Thursday. The humidity usually isn't enough to hurt me, though sometimes it gets a bit hard to breathe. It's just that 31C isn't normal for Edmonton, Alberta.

oh.... you are a Canuck like me! I was thinking you were in Asia where it is generally always humid! I've only been to Edmonton to visit friends. There are some pretty wild thunderstorms on the prairie's. You are close enough to take a day drive to the mountains, do you do that at all?

Ohhh, neat! What city/town are you from?

Well, last year my brother drove me to Calgary and Drumheller, but he hasn't any car now. So no more trips.

I almost went to the Calgary Stampede once but the friend I was supposed to go stay with ended up having to go out of town so that ended that trip. I did go to Banff Springs with a group of friends though, it was a long drive to get there but we had fun along the way and we did a tour of the Old Banff Springs Hotel Landmark. The hot springs that come right out of the ground are VERY hot.

LOL Brother and I saw several museums in Drumheller, explored the tiny church, and crossed the suspension bridge, and I climbed up inside the giant dino and regretted it. In Calgary we walked all over most of the zoo on the hottest day of the summer. We also went up north to Jurassic Forest, which is SO neat.

Wow. Sorry for wandering off. Actually, it's not in a fossil area. What it is is a hunk of BEAUTIFUL northern Alberta bush, with some really beautiful giant larches and lovely black spruce, boggy areas, aspens, and a couple creeks. And mixed in with it all are some nifty animatronic dinos. There are boardwalks everywhere, to protect the ground and so that peeps on wheels can enjoy it too.

Grats on the pet splosion.
