I'm glad you seem to be doing well. I have to make a doctor's appointment and I'm dreading it. Never had my wisdom teeth pulled and now they're cracked.

It really isn't that bad, you will never know when you get knocked out. I can't remember. You wont feel the pain when you wake up. You will get pain meds and i never got severe pain. Its not that bad as people say.

Still holding up my dear? I got mine out and just ate sorbet for a week. I ended up making protein smoothies and froze them so I would get all the food I needed but I didn't have to eat really..

But they fractured my jaw getting my teeth out, they were so bad. So. I am glad your pretty face is still all in one piece.

Oh it was ok.. Sorta. They gave me vicodine instead so that was fun at least. I had to walk to work for two weeks though. I could NOT drive on that stuff,

Bassy: keep taking the Advil/Motrin (Ibuprophen) every 4 to 6 hours for the next couple days. Iyt helps with the pain and swelling.

DS: Normally they split the teeth into pieces by drilling them (that's what I had as mine were full bone impaction) so that they don't put excessive torque and fracture your jaw - how horrible for you to have to have that! Did they wire your jaw then too?

They only put the single wire in the back since the fracture was back in the joint. It was more of a .. This is going to hurt for a very long time and we can't really do anything for you, have some drugs.

They did break the roots and part of the tooth into smaller pieces but I think them breaking it is what fractured the jaw. The tooth was huge too, and the roots had twisted and almost criss crossed in my jaw. Narly things, glad to have them out though.

Lemon: I've had pieces of a tooth come off plus the edges are rough and don't feel "whole". The two upper wisdom teeth only feel like a corner of a tooth.

Stars: Your upper wisdom teeth are probably only partially erupted. Ya, I would just go in and have them checked out. If part of a tooth broke off already that could be come painful is the nerve gets affected.

DS: gosh,I'm sorry you had to go through so much...sounds like you were the exception.
