I had a class where we were supposed to do something or other while the teacher was at some staff meeting (mixed grade glass, and only about a dozen of us) and instead we made snowflakes and hung them up and taped them to the windows. Teach came back, saw them, and rolled with it XD

nice. I mean who doesn't like snowflake decorations? And you did do a group activity after all, right? Actually this weeks (?) episode of the middle Sue's friend comes and they decorate her temporary housing with snowflake decorations and it looked so bright and festive.

These are my favorite snowflakes to make! My 3rd grade teacher taught them to the class, and I always thought they were so cool!

This one is pretty cool! I would hate to have to cut all the tiny strips though... at least the ones I've made before, there's not a lot of measuring to do.

Those are pretty!
I'm conflicted though. I like to use blank paper to draw on but I'd also like to make paper snowflakes.

You can make paper snowflakes out of recycled paper or wrapping paper too. I've actually seen some made out of aluminum foil - not sure how that would sound cutting though.

Here is a how to for beautiful ballerina paper art that someone sent me. I haven't tried it yet. If any one does try it let me know how it works out or maybe post the image?

That's really pretty!

Yeah I'll look around for some other kind of scrap paper.

I saw an actual kit somewhere that showed how to do the folds and cuts and gave molds to trace the lines.
