pumpkins (and gourds in general) are so cute ;-;

i love the little weird useless ones you see at the store sometimes,
they're so tiny that it doesn't seem like you'd buy it to eat... and they're really hard so it seems like carving them would be very difficult.
why do they exist and why do i want to buy them all T__T

Usually the tiny ones are used for table decoration around here. Or for children to paint or poke things into.

I think the larger gourds were used to make water containers out of and some gourds are used for bathing sponges

awww that is cute! I'm glad you took a pic to remember it by. If you paint instead of carve I think the pumpkin lasts longer - right?

it will eventually rot but if you break the skin the bacteria and moisture, air gets in there faster i believe
