Google claims that a corndog is " a hot dog covered in cornmeal batter, fried, and served on a stick."

But a corndog is so much more than that.
It is handheld, deep fried, crunchy, soft, sweet, salty deliciousness.
Is is summer on a stick. It is happiness straight from a fryer.
It is the vehicle on which any condiment would be lucky to ride.
A corndog.. is life.

Ok, but a corndog is basically a hot dog with the bun attached. Since a hotdog is a sandwich, is a corndog a sandwich or a calzone?

Diana- I accept your corndog burrito logic. burrito is a fully wrapped item with meatlike products inside and a corn dog can fit this description. HOWEVER, on the flip side- If you put a burrito on a stick does it make it a corndog?
