Now, as for the sub argument.. I think that is all about hinge placement. With a hot dog, the hinge is parallel with the ground. You eat it meat up, hinge down. We're disregarding the "headturners" for the sake of this argument. However, a sub has a hinge that is parallel with the horizon.. you eat it with hinge to the side and meat to the other side. You don't turn it up and eat a sub taco style.

But I eat my hot dogs the way you eat subs and I eat subs the way you eat hot dogs and tacos!
I eat my tacos upside down as well

Oh wow! I was so concerned for a moment!!
My brain was like "what is life? What does this mean? What is ceiling? What is floor? What is taco? What is light? " and on and on.
You almost broke me.

Also, if a wrap is a sandwich, does that mean a burrito is too?

I consider a wrap a hipster burrito. It's like a burrito, but without the beans and with lettuce and such. They're "too cool for beans". idek

Do different styles of hot dogs have different sandwich qualifications then?

Talking about the "hinge placement" on buns in a real debate has made me laugh so hard today.

You guys are fabulous, oh my gosh. Hahahaha.

Side note, I don't want to accept that a hot dog is a sandwich. I will live in ignorance! ;)

If someone asked me if I wanted a sandwich and gave me a hot dog I'd be " what....???

If you put the franks (wieners, dogs ) on sliced bread is it still a hot dog or is it now a sandwich?

/bringing back the old argument

When we put hot dogs on regular bread, we just call it poor people hot dogs. Because it usually happens right before the next paycheck. ;D Also, I still consider it a hot dog because I'm eating it with the intent for it to be a hot dog, but i'm too poor/lazy to get buns.

corn dog sounds healthier.

It's still a sandwich. It's between bread.
