Silverfire
I think that if they want to risk having any of that happen, then that's what they get. I don't like them doing that, but if they choose to, they ultimately are saying that they're fine with the risks. I don't think it should be banned, but more of letting the guys know the risk of sagging their pants so they can choose whether or not to take that risk.

I don't really care about the law seeing how I don't walk about with my ass hanging out of my pants. But I'd be okay with a law like this around where I live. I can't stand seeing young males with their pants down my their knees (yes many people in my town sag that low). I don't understand the point in wearing pants if you're going to have them around your knees for most of the day. I don't see it as a style, I see it as laziness.

Lol, I'm just trying to imagine how they would be walking because there is no way they could walk without totally losing their pants and more of waddling.

I was shopping today and one guy did actually have his pants belted underneath the bottom of his butt. He was cleanly dressed - the clothes looked new - but his wallet in his back pocket was hanging half way out and I can't see how he would be able to "feel" if someone lifted it off him. His friend had saggy pants but they were belted below his hips and his pockets were half hidden by his untucked shirt.

I'm sorta mixed on this. I like that they make it punishable to sag your pants that low [because let's face it, not many people wanna see your underpants and, as said earlier in the thread, you're more likely to trip on your pants than you were if they were pulled up properly]. But, not so sure I think they need jail time. I mean...Six months? I've heard of two months for way more than that. Also, the fine is more than a speeding ticket in my area, I think. I definitely think getting them to stop sagging their pants like that is a great idea but...

Though, there's also the fact that half the laws in the country are still on the books but no longer even followed by the states at all. You should see some of the weird laws around. o.o;

And even if they "enforce" them, people will still do it.

The sad thing is when the laws have become "outdated" and are never updated.
