At one time there were libraries, but most got destroyed. Hopefully one day they will be found...like the dead sea scrolls were.

That's the whole fascination with archaeological finds. And although the ice caps melting is not a good thing for the sea water level it is revealing the treasurers of history buried in permafrost millions of years ago.

What is ironic is people want the ice to stay in the North but forget that that area once was tropical! It is just the world reverting back to where it once was.
