I once read that changing the exposure settings on the phone camera can help you take better photos of the night sky - but those settings aren't available on my phone so I can't verify that advice.

There'll be a partial solar eclipse visible in my area in a few days! The magnitude is only ~0.35 so it will likely just look like a slightly bitten sun.

$25,000 reward if you can find meteorite that landed April 8. It has to be over 2 pounds ... but money will be offered for smaller fragments.

Re: Space talk... find meteorite get $$

If I could pin point where it was it might make for a fun treasure hunt trip. But I think if it fell on personal property it would be difficult to get the landowners permission to search. Although, I suppose the owners would be willing to charge people just to look & to get a percentage of the finders fee?

I would value a meteorite as priceless and wouldn't sell it. I would think one could get more for it on ebay than what they're offering.

If it fell on someone's property don't you think that person would have noticed?

Despite the reward, it's still very tempting to just hoard the Special Rock for yourself. I'd definitely want a keepsake or something made of meteorite!
