I've never considered if I'll be buried or cremated, and if cremated, where I want my ashes

But that's because I'm not planning on dying just yet

My priority is ease and cost for my loved ones and cremated (crackle crackle crackle!) fits best currently. It may change in the future, but whatever I choose I lean towards methods that reduce the likelihood of me turning into a zombie or Frankenstein!

But what if you could be revived without being a zombie?

I think I'd rather be a time traveler.

I guess it would depend on what killed me. Being revived in a broken or bad condition would be terrible--like nightmare/curse terrible! Everything has a time/expiration date, so unless it's something like an accident that has no lasting damage I feel I'd be better off just being gone. Now if they come up with a consciousness transfer into an android or something, I'd be against that too, but that's a whole other thing!

I'm too scared of tine travel

I see! Well I was thinking, what if, in the future, they're able to bring the dead back to life, in pristine condition, as if they had never died, and not be broken or in bad condition, due to major technological or evolutionary advances, would you be up for it?

Maybe, but I'd be afraid that people changed for the worse (turned into cannibals or something). It'd be great if it we're like Buck Rogers or Star Trek, but how things go these days the odds of things getting worse are very very high.

I have faith that one thing that's allowed humans to continue after very stupid periods in history is that as long as we have hope and at least a few brave, intelligent people around they can steer us in the right direction. I feel that people like Elon Musk come around every hundred or so years and point us in the right direction. It's amazing to watch history (he'll be remembered like Howard Hughes, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, etc.).

That sounds like some people's rendition of what Heaven is... just without the technological advances.

In my opinion, if heaven does exist, it's probably different for everyone. As in, it's your own personal paradise. Whatever makes YOU the happiest, that's what heaven is to you. And hell is the opposite, whatever makes you the most miserable

Yay!
