I'm not going to hatch mine right now. I hope more people can get the bears.

I hope one day to have the bear eggs so that I can keep one in every stage - hopefully that will be possible

Yes! Think big! I mean, we're still in beta, there's a lot of things to happen in the future!!!

Talking about beta makes me remember this one avatar site which had this game where you had to kill some insect-like monsters. I can never remember the name of the site though. Argh.

On another note, I thought the beta stage of this site was already finished?

I don't know much about how site stages go - but I thought we just entered beta on here not that long ago? Now I am going to have to go look through the history section.

I thought beta would be over since isn't that the testing stage of the site where bugs and kinks are ironed out?

Based on the event items, this site started around 2014, yeah?

It's basically only one person, Diana, working on it and, ya, are still working out the bugs and quirks and trying/testing out new things

Always made me wonder though what kind of bugs occur in these site since they're pretty much just forum sites with avatars involved? I reckon the main issues will pop in the avatar dress up part but not much on the forum since these are already pre-formatted.

Then again, I'm not a coding expert or anything remotely close to that.

I'm not either - I guess things like layering or layout? movement? response time? lag time? how things line up...colors, ...timing...sorting...wouldn't it be like building a car from scratch? You have to make sure everything works together? I am sure there are more bugs then we have any idea about.

Don't know as well. Haha.
I think the lag is mainly due to server issues though - not really coding.

As for building the site from scratch, I'm pretty sure that you don't really start from scratch (at least on the forum aspect again). But then there was this one site coder who said that phpBB had some bugs so he'd like to code his own site completely. Then again, he stole from site funds and lied about it so I can't really trust everything he says.

oh that is terrible! Why are people like that? well, I have no idea about coding and such and what is free out there to use. Even building something from scratch is still using existing materials. Although I do know people who grind their own seeds/nuts for flour etc for baking but most people follow a recipe or format. when building/making something

I'm not really sure. To me, stealing money is a big no but I guess some people really need/want it. We don't know their circumstances.

It's interesting because that happened on both Terrasus and Syndrone and both sites were being run by similar core people. I guess they had a pretty bad luck in getting co-admins who wouldn't steal the site money for themselves.

Coding is difficult since it's pretty much similar to learning a new language entirely.

There are safe guards that can be set up so that no one person can take money without another co signing or without a record for accountability, I wonder why things like that aren't set up to begin with?
