Comet size of Mt. Everest hurling towards Earth !!
Well, not quite, it has a regular protectory that includes passing by Earth...and it is BIG and it did explode.

I really hope we can see the comet ... with our actual eyes & not with binoculars or a telescope.
If we miss it passing by the next time it passes we'll be long gone... particles of dust ourselves.

"Despite the vast size of its coma, Halley's nucleus is relatively small: barely 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) long, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) wide and perhaps 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) thick."
"Mount Everest's elevation of 29,032 feet (8,849 metres) and is the highest mountain in the world."
If the coming comet is larger than Everest, it'll be a little more than half the size of Halley so maybe... just maybe...

Thanks Npix! but I changed it several times now so don't know which one you meant!
I'm just having fun with the Halloween themed items that we have gotten over the years.
Scientists are learning how to deflect comets so maybe they will figure something out ... or we may end up like the Asteroid movie.

I looked up at the sky but probably not for long enough so didn't see any meteors... but sky was clear & stars & planets awesome! Very uplifting.
