getting a job takes foreveeeeerrrrr UPD8

Now, as some of you know, I worked at a local theme park for four years. Cool stuff happened, but also a lot of monsters for guests because everything needs to be perfect and their favorite ride is broken so it's the retail kid's fault
So a job position shortly before the park opened for the season, and I applied. Phone tag killed me, so it was given to the girl known as Yoga Pants
Yoga Pants can't do her job, and according to dad, wants to be a lumper (like he is), not a clerk. So they finally reopen the position, but not publicly. I get emailed. No reply until dad told his boss that I was waiting on them. He sent an email, I got an interview done, as well as a walk-through. I get told to expect the paperwork via email a week later
About two weeks later, I shoot another email to them, asking what's taking so long. Dad, who decoded that I get the job, he's staying, I don't get it, he's gonna start looking, beings doing so
I get told by the recruiter that she'll look into it
Another week, and I email again, as dad asks his boss what's going on because the position opened up again
He thought I had decided against it after getting the paperwork, so he and the recruiter emailed back and forth and voilà, I get a phone call to confirm that yes, I still want to work there, okay, here's the email
Two hours later I filled it our
Now I'm just waiting on them to background check and all that jazz. Mom thinks the credit check will be ugly, seeing as I have medical bills that are unpaid, but hopefully it don't kill it
Then it's pee in cup for drug test, orientation, uniform (shirt and hoodie), and I'm working. And getting a paycheck

How'd I get the theme park job? Mom was the crazy hat lady, the hat shop was her shop and everyone knew it (heck, people recognized her elsewhere as such). She pulled aside the supervisor for sweeps and told him that I needed a job, and he needed employees because he'd just fired several (including one "mommy's little princess" who I knew at school and disliked). I've bounced around every year by choice

So, anyone else waiting on a job?

Oh my glob textwall sorry

Still waiting to hear back on two apps I have in at the local hospital ;; It's been forever, seriously. One isn't sure if he actually wants to hire some people because the PRN's are working for 2 weeks and leaving.

The other is just taking forever. I hate it.

even if your resume may not be long how you present yourself at an interview makes a big difference. People looking to hire are looking for someone eager to learn.

I hate job searching,resume-ing, interviewing, etc.
it's so awkward and nerve-wracking!
I'm glad you're past the worst of it- those interviews!

I have a kimono pattern
I found another by a different company
If I can figure out how to reduce to doll sizes I can have matching with the doll happen

And if I do well enough, I might be able to start making money off of that and not have to get a full time job
Maybe
