I’m going to start sharing science stuff here!

In SPACE STUFF:

- 20 more provisional (orbit to be determined) moons of Saturn have been discovered, bringing Saturn’s total moon count to 82! That’s the highest total in our solar system. 82 is a lot of moons...

Link: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-ne ... 180973294/

- scientists observe the structure of the cosmic web. Gas filaments connecting galaxies are generally hard to detect, but have been seen for the first time.

I missed the mercury transit live stream. Did any one see it?

I was reading Stephen Hawking's last book a couple of weeks ago. When I was reading the chapter about black holes, it made me sad to realise that he never got to see the picture of one.

Full moon rising tonight was huge... shrouded by clouds it was mystical and very beautiful! :cheer:

Space X also put 60 (I think that was how many) satellites into space!

I'm one of those who appreciate science but don't necessarily understand it :strain:

I understand it as long as it is explained in layman's terms. The Hawking book was really accessible to the casual reader. I also recommend Kurzgesagt it was also really good at simplifying science.

I'll look for it then! I like watching the NOVA series...I get graphics (visual) and audio (hearing) and they present it in a manner more conducive to me understanding it.
