Our moon is apparently 40 million years older then originally thought ... thanks to research being done on moon samples from 1972.

What's "interesting" is that it took 51 years looking at those rocks to figure it out! Better late than never, but I bet (as these things seem to go), they'll figure out this latest discovery is wrong too in the future!

Either way, it's kind of comforting to know that moon is older. Kind of a like an old reliable friend that's been by our sides for all intents and purposes forever.
