I wonder if it smells "hot"? I can't describe it, but when I lived in a cold region when people would come in from the outdoors when it was very cold out there was a smell. It quickly dissapated, but it was like a cold smell.

Anyone else experience this?

Ya cold has its own type of smells as well doesn't it?

Maybe some of it is the smell from what ever has gotten cold? Like metal, or pond water freezing or road ways? Like when the roads get rained on they can have a smell to them. Or when they get hot.

The hot smell on people who have come in from the heat into an airconditioned place I'm in tends to smell like sweat... ewwww!

But the cold smell, yes, it's kind of metallic. I wonder if the space smell they talk about is just from extreme cold? (Also metallic.) Hmmmm....
