Good morning friends (or whatever part of the day it is in your area)

How is everyone doing today? Thought I'd check in with the site since I have a little more spare time now.

I'm OK, a bit frustrated. All I have to say about that is: potty training!

Potty training? If praise doesn't work, try bribery! ;)

Other than that it will just take time...

Bribery isn't the best idea because you don't want to condition kids to expect rewards for doing something so mundane.

I think encouragement and maybe an example are the best way to go. If he's afraid, maybe show him that others can do it without a problem, especially those he looks up to. Of course, there's a good chance you've tried this and I'm no parenting expert.

Well the bribe worked for going number one just not number two. I mean he knows what he gets if he goes and we even had him watch Daddy go but *sigh* no luck. I might put him in pre-k so he can be around other kids, that helped my niece. My super cute sweet niece!!! :cheer:

True, bribery is a power tool, so it must be used with care. You have to use every tool at your disposal judiciously. You will get it wrong sometimes (we're only human), but if you get it right most of the time, you did good. Raising children is very difficult.

Look for potty videos for kids. That may help too (makes it a game/fun time).

You know I never thought about looking up some videos to help out! Thanks!! I'll look some up!
Well for me rasing kids is like 2nd nature BC I'm the oldest of 10 grandkids and I helped raise most all but one, my cousin who is only like 5 years younger than me. Plus I also baby Sat other kids when I was younger.
