I'm curious about the stance of environment education in your area. I image it's the same as the world, but with all of the bleating on how China is one of the highest (perhaps highest) greenhouse gas emitters, etc., some make it seem like folks (government) over there don't care, but then I read about all of the building of Gen IV nuke plants, etc., it certainly seems like they're going to hit the problem with a sledge hammer and push ahead faster than any other country could possibly accomplish. Is my perception close to accurate?

I took environmental studies in highschool so my knowledge is like 4 years out of date, but I'm pretty sure China's doing their best considering the fact they're are/were pretty industrial. A lot of countries offload their carbon emissions by outsourcing their production to China, and a lot of e-waste and plastic waste is "recycled" there. Though recently they banned the import of certain types of plastic so that's good news. But the pattern of more developed/wealthier countries offloading their environmental burden to countries who can't afford to do so is super common. I think you're pretty on point because China is at a point where they can actually invest in green technology~
