When you think of all the trillions of stars/planets out there it is quite amazing that our Earth is so rare. There are Earth like planets but none yet (so far) that have the balance our Earth has to support life as we know it.

Actually there are quite a few rocky planets in the "Goldilocks" zone (just right temperature for liquid water). The shear numbers mean a percentage of them have to have life on them. Humanoid life is a different matter, but the numbers make it possible. Now intelligent humanoid life, well it's debatable we've even seen it even here. ;p

I prefer Crescent over half

Crescent moon is best moon

Speaking of which, I've recently seen the Crescent moon and it's been great

My fav is the full moon. It just seems happy. :)

But crescent is my next because it seems to highlight the hills and crater shadows along the outer edge.

I like looking at the moon with my binoculars or telescopic camera lens. So cool to look at the craters.

Next time they go to the moon they should make a big heart shape that lights up so that every time we look at the moon we think about the importance of loving one another.

Don't we already have millions of eyes in the sky with satellites watching us?
